Week 4 Reflection-Hunter
What: This week I had a reading group lesson about the book War games and we were identifying the authors purpose also finding evidence to support my thinking and to look for clues ( inference ) in the text.
So What: It helps us to understand the text. Also to think beyond surface features of the story. However you also make connections with your prior knowledge.
Now What: I can use this strategy when I read other texts. It also improves on my learning and I get the hang of identifying the authors purpose.
Hello Everyone,
I had a great time doing this and it also helps me to improve in on my learning.
It also helps to achieve my Key Competency Goal.

My Explanation about How to be a positive learner in McCahon Class
Buon giorno everyone,
This is my first Explanation writing for the year.
I found it alright because I was procrastinating, but next time I will get through it.
I hope you enjoy.
Well, to be a positive learner in McCahon class, you should be responsible for your actions and your learning, and to respect others. Also to be collaborative and participate in activities. I am going to mention how to be a self-directed learner, how to have a growth mind-set and to take every opportunity you are given.
Having decided the most important thing of being a positive learner in McCahon class is to be a self-directed learner. A self-directed learner is when you know what to do, for instance you should be able to walk in the class and read what’s on the active board and get ready for the day, in other words for it, being organised for the day. Also a self-directed learner would also do their work independently and use their initiative but most importantly decide what workshop that what to attend.
However the most second important thing to be an excellent positive learner in McCahon class, you have to have a growth mind-set and not a fix mind-set. A fixed mindset is when you would say. “I am not good this.” But if you had a Growth mind-set you would say. “What am I missing.” Fixed mind-set would also say. “I can't make this any better.” A Growth mind-set would also say. “I can always improve, I’ll keep on trying. Now a Growth mind-set would also follow the learner profile and be open- minded. Being Growth minded you would be an inquisitive learner and ask heaps of relevant questions.
In addition you would take every opportunity you are given and say yes. And to remember to follow Our Essential Agreement. Like, support each other, learn from your mistakes and know your rights and responsibilities.
In McCahon class that all sums it up to being motivated learners who persevere and strive to do our best and being proud of our work.

My First Explain Everything Maths Tutorial (Doubling and Halving)
I am very proud of my work and I had a great time using it. What I liked about using this app is that you get to choose what colour you want. If you really liked mine and you would like to see some more Explain Everything videos check out Toma's, Evanjaline's and Hati's on there Blogs.
Star: I think I did pretty good speaking clearly.
Star: I think I did well explaining the tutorial.
Wish: I wished I could of had a more harder tutorial to explain.
