I was a presenter with my two friends Toma and Nisha and we taught some people about iMovie because it is such a cool way to share your learning!

I also attended a lot of workshops like how to use Scratch and how to bling your blog. So now you will know that my blog looks very different.

New Windsor school attended the ToolKit day as well.

At the end of the day we took a few selfies why not right.
My favourite workshops that I attended was everything.

At the end of the day there were some cool prizes and there was a new CHROMEBOOK! But unfortunately I didn't get it but instead I got a New World hamper. How I got the prize was by getting my named pulled out it was a lucky dip. Also we got swag bags/ goodie bags.

The Viewer Poem - People Don't Care About The World

Hi Blog World!
This week we have been posting about The Viewer (a book).
This is a Poem about the part when Tristan come's across a DUMP and we had to write a poem about it.

I was walking down the path and it started to get dark
I tripped over a piece of mouldy film
I had fell into a hole of disgusting garbage
All I could see is that people did not care of pollution
I heard children crying because they did not  have a roof under their heads
I saw a mysterious light I thought it would be good
I brought the children with me to the light

My Week 4 Term 3 Reflection

Bom Dia Blog World!
This week my class had to do a reflection about how they did this week.
I hope you enjoy!

Week 4 Term 3 Reflection 2015

Backward-Looking:
What have been your learning highlights so far this term?
  1. My most favourite learning highlight so far this term Camp because I have experienced so many new things, that might help me in the future and of course because it was FUN.
  2. Mr Hopkins coming into our class because I get learn more things about the Chromebooks.
  3. Getting the privilege to play touch rugby.

Inward-Looking:
What were your Learner Profile goals for Term 3? Have your goals changed? Are you on track to meet your goals?
My goals for this term was to be a caring and principled.
I have met by being a principled learner goal, because at camp I showed good leadership skills.
I think I have met my goal about being caring, because if people at camp couldn’t do something I would show that I care for them by encouraging them to do it.

Outward-Looking:
If you were the teacher, what comments would you make about your learning so far this term?
Hunter has been working great so far this term her learning is really above.
But sometimes in class she can get a bit chatty but when she knows she gets chatty she will really focus.
If a friends says can you come work with me she would say sorry I’m really focused or she needs to finish something off.

Forward-Looking:
As you look back at your learning so far, what's one thing that you would like to try to improve upon over the next few weeks?
To stay so focused and really concentrate because I really need to aim high this term and start getting ready for intermediate.

My Comment On Nisha's Remember Poem

Hi Blog World!
Last week we went on Camp and we had to write a Remember Poem and then comment on someone else's.
I chose to comment on Nisha's, I recommend for you to read Nisha's because it really made me laugh.

Camp Adventure 2015! With My Remember Poem

HI Blog World this is my Remember Poem about Camp with a Collage, hope you enjoy!

That Was Camp.

Remember when I was waiting my turn to go on the Giant Ladder and I just couldn't wait?
Remember when it was my turn to go on the Giant Ladder with my friend Nisha and I was so hyped up?
That was Camp.

Remember when I saw people go to kayak surfing which I thought was so cool?
Remember when the kayak toppled over my head and I felt trapped because I have drowned before and it felt like I was going to drown but I thought of being resilient and I got back into the water?
That was Camp.

Remember when I was so tired so we got into our pyjamas, brushed our teeth and snuggled up into our beds?
Do you remember that CAMP when it took most of the girls quite a while to settle down ?

That was Camp.

Hi everyone, this is going to be two blog posts in one. It is going to be about End of Term 2 Reflection and Teach the Teacher Highlights we were supposed to have sharing time but we ran out of time. I hope you enjoy.

Inward-Looking:
What were your Learner Profile goals for Term 2? Have your goals changed? Are you on track to meet your goals?
My two learner profile goals for this term was being Principled and a Balanced Learner.
I have met my being a Balanced learner goal by finishing all of my non- negotiables a few weeks back HERE
I have met my being a Principled learner goal because I think I have being a good role model and if I had been intrusted with an important task that I need to do I would do it that come under RESPONSIBILITY

Outward-Looking:
If you were the teacher, what comments would you make about your learning so far?
Hunter has been doing very well in all her subjects, but sometimes Hunter can get a bit chatty in the class. But if I tell her to do something she will do straight away and she works very hard during learning time.

Forward-Looking:
As you look back at your learning so far, what's one thing that you would like to try to improve upon?

Hi everyone, this blog post is going to be about my weekend in Christchurch. I went to Christchurch to celebrate my baby cousins 1st Birthday.

This is my cousin his name is Kees.
The photo was took by me at his 1st birthday.
Doesn't he look CUTE
He'll eat anything

Here in this photo is most of my family at my uncle's and aunty's house.

This is also most of my family at the beach.
In Christchurch there are huge waves so be careful if you go there.

My family and my aunty's family and I were at my uncle's gym playing sports after we had eaten at the restaurant.

The two people on the outer sides are my cousins the person next to the cousin with the number 98 is my brother. We are being Spunky Funky Groovy Monkeys.

My Grandfather and my Uncle holding Kees and giving him an exercise.

If you can see closely the people in the photo are my cousins in a donut at Springfield in the SNOW!

Most of family playing in the snow, there were a few tears and a lot of smiles.

This me holding a big snowball. I love the snow but you would need gloves.

The Fascinating Grey Asteroid with deep Craters

In Week 6 of Term 2 our class focussed on how to write great explanations.
We wrote about the Moon’s different phases as we are in the middle of learning about Planet Earth and Beyond. Learning how to write a great explanation will help us with our self-guided topics in a few weeks time. Here is my writing, after I have self-assessed and peer-assessed my work.

WHY DOES THE MOON LOOK DIFFERENT EVERY NIGHT?

Introduction
The fascinating grey asteroid with deep craters (the Moon) has eight lunar phases, which means that the Moon changes each and every night. However I will explain the truth behind why the Moon looks different every non- illuminated night.

Moon’s orbit around the earth
As the Moon orbits the Earth, we either see less or more the illuminated side of it.This is because the Moon is orbiting Earth at a tilt while the Earth revolves around the Sun. Some people believe that the shapes are shadows from the Earth,  but the truth is that it is caused by the reflection of the Sun’s light, so that is the amount of light we see while the Moon is orbiting the Earth. Interesting Fact, the Moon rotates at roughly the same speed as the Earth itself.

Lunar Phases of the Moon
Phases of the Moon are shapes that change each and every night. The first phases of the Moon is called New Moon where it is completely unilluminated. The second phases of the Moon is called waxing crescent, the word waxing means getting bigger or going out. After that the next phases is called first quarter, meaning it is half covered. Soon after that the phases is called Waxing gibbous, when it is slightly more over that a quarter. The next phase is called full Moon when it is precisely illuminated. Then it is waning gibbous, the meaning of that word waning means getting smaller or coming in. Then it’s last quarter just like the first quarter. Last of all the last phase is waning crescent. Then it is goes in a cycle.

Time,time, time
Now we got down the lunar phases down and the Moon’s orbit, now we have to talk about the Moon to catch up to it’s orbit. For the Moon to to complete its orbit around the Earth it takes two more days for it to be in line with the Sun and the Earth. It takes about 27.3 days for the Moon to complete its orbit around the Earth.

Overall, now that you know why the Moon changes its appearance each and every night. If you would
still like to know about the extraordinary Moon, visit this link. I hope this explanation has encouraged you to write your own. Did you know that our Moon is the fifth largest
